Period & Me Privacy Policy
Effective 29 October 2026. Developer: AppNest Utility Labs. Contact: info@appnest.site
Period & Me ("Period Tracker - Period & Me" on Google Play) helps you track your period, cycle, symptoms, fertility signs and reminders. This policy explains what happens to your information.
The short version
- No account. You never sign up or sign in.
- Your cycle data stays on your phone. We have no server for it and cannot see it. It is never sold, never shared and never used for ads.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may use your phone's advertising ID to show and measure ads. Nothing you log (periods, symptoms, moods, temperatures, tests, sex, notes, medicines) is ever given to Google or used to choose ads.
- App statistics and crash reports go to Google Firebase so we can fix crashes and see how many people use the app. They never include anything you log.
- Premium removes ads. You buy it through Google Play or the App Store.
Information stored on your device
Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your phone:
- Cycle: period start and end dates, flow, cycle and period length settings, your goal (tracking, trying to conceive, first periods or perimenopause).
- Daily logs: symptoms, moods, discharge, basal body temperature, weight, ovulation and pregnancy test results, cervix observations, sexual activity (only if you turn this on), notes.
- Medicines and the pill: names, reminder times, pack layout and the days you marked taken or skipped.
- Profiles: the names you give each profile on this phone.
- Your settings, such as units, theme, reminder times and the app lock. The app-lock PIN is stored only as a salted fingerprint (hash) in your phone's secure keystore, and never leaves the phone.
Predictions, insights and doctor reports are worked out on your phone from this data.
Backups.
- Backup file with a password: encrypted on your phone with a password only you know (AES-256). It goes only where you send it. Without the password, nobody can open it, including us.
- Automatic Google backup (Android): off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, Android copies the app's data into your own Google account backup about once a day. Your Google account controls that copy, not us. The app-lock PIN is never included.
- iPhone backups may include the app in your iCloud backup, under your Apple account settings.
Files you choose to share. When you share a backup file, a CSV spreadsheet or a PDF report, it goes only where you send it: email, a cloud drive, a printer or another app. We never receive a copy. Files you import (another app's CSV, a backup) are read on your phone only.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising identifier
- approximate location from your IP address
- information about ad views and taps
- basic device and diagnostic information
Ad requests never include anything about your cycle, your goal, the screen you are on or what you logged. Ads are limited to a teen-appropriate rating, sensitive categories are blocked, and there are no ads in the first 24 hours, in the log sheet, on the lock screen or during setup.
In the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws, we ask for your choice first through Google's consent message. You can change it any time in Settings โ Privacy & ad choices. Anyone, anywhere, can switch on Settings โ Non-personalized ads. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

App statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
On Android, the app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, run by Google as our service provider:
- Analytics counts installs, app opens, how long the app is used, app version, phone model, operating system and approximate country (from the IP address), linked to a random app-instance ID. It does not read your advertising ID.
- Crashlytics sends a crash report when the app crashes: the technical stack trace, app version, phone model, operating system and a random installation ID.
Neither ever receives your periods, symptoms, moods, temperatures, tests, sex, notes, medicines, goal or profile names, or the screen you were on. We send no custom events, no user properties and no extra crash details. This information is not used for ads and not sold. Google keeps Analytics data for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days.

Purchases
Premium (monthly, yearly or lifetime) is bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. They process the payment; we never see your card details. The app only asks the store whether Premium is active.
Notifications and widgets
Reminders (period coming or late, PMS, phases, fertile window, pill and medicines, breast self-check, daily log) are scheduled on your phone. With Discreet notifications, they say only "Reminder". Home-screen widgets read from the app's storage on your phone; Discreet widget shows numbers only. Nothing is sent to us.
Children and teens
Period & Me is for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13. Teens can use "My periods just started", which shows no fertility content.
Your choices and deleting data
You can edit or delete any entry in the app, and Settings โ Delete all my data erases everything on this phone at once. Uninstalling the app also removes everything it stored. We hold no copy of what you log, so there is nothing for us to delete on a server.
Health data laws
Because your cycle data never leaves your phone (app statistics and crash reports contain none of it) unless you send it somewhere yourself, we do not collect, share or sell consumer health data as defined by laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. If you have a question about your rights under any privacy law, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date.
